Rejuvenate Your Body with Breast Surgery
Breast surgery can be a sensitive topic of discussion for many women, which is why it is so important to be able to completely trust your doctor. Dr. James R. Benjamin provides his patients with a variety of breast surgery techniques that may be fully customized to meet their individual needs. Your safety and happiness are his primary concerns. Please consider taking time to meet with Dr. Benjamin for a comprehensive consultation to determine your specific concerns, needs and, ultimately, your real desires.
Women who desire to increase the size of their bust to create a more feminine silhouette choose breast augmentation, or breast implant surgery. Age, pregnancy, and dramatic weight loss can all decrease the elasticity and voluptuousness of the breasts. The resulting sagging of the breasts can be disheartening to anyone wanting to look their best.
When you come to our office for a breast augmentation consultation, Dr. Benjamin will help you choose the ideal method of placement for your breast implants based on your body type, lifestyle, and desired results. Dr. Benjamin uses Mentor, Natrelle, and Sientra brand Implants.
During a breast augmentation surgery, Dr. Benjamin will insert a breast implant to increase the size and improve the contour of the breast. The implants can be placed through incisions made in the nipples, or lower breast creases. Dr. Benjamin does not use the axillary approach for implant placement. Once the implants are precisely placed, he will close the incisions with sutures and dress you in a pressure garment to aid with the healing process.
Placement of implants may be sub-pectoral (under the pectoral muscle) or sub-glandular (under the mammary gland and on top of the muscle). This option will be discussed with you by the surgeon at the time of your consultation. The decision is based on a combination of preference, type of implant used, size and effect desired, and amount of existing breast tissue.
